I want you to help you on your journey to be healthier, cook whole foods with confidence and create a life you love — filled with love, creativity, fun and meaning.
I have been cooking since before I can remember. By the time I was a teen, I was the one getting up at 6am to get the thanksgiving meal started. At 15 I started working in catering, and that could have been the start of a very long and probably successful career in cooking. But, to be honest, I thought cooking meant working in a restaurant and I wasn’t into making dinner for everyone else and not for me and my family. So, I stopped cooking for money, went to college, earned my BA from the University of Wisconsin, Madison and got to work. I worked so many different jobs it’s hard to keep them straight. From Advertising Coordinator at a local newspaper to riding the dot com wave in San Francisco as website producer. But through all the years and all the positions I felt unfulfilled and derailed, I always thought there was something better and bigger for me. And so, with the help of an amazing Life Coach, I sought out what it was that fed my passions and what I wanted to spend my days doing. That is when I began my journey and education to become a Health Coach and natural foods Chef.
I moved to NYC and received my Holistic Health Coach certification from Institute for Integrative Nutrition and am accredited by the American Association of Drugless Practitioners. But, I didn’t want to stop there. Since food and cooking was in my soul, but now it was with a slant toward the natural, I did my Chef’s Training at the The Natural Gourmet Institute for Health & Culinary Arts which is licensed by the New York State Department of Education and accredited by ACCET.
I was so proud when I graduated from Cooking school. I was following my dream and finally educating myself in a way that I felt could have a dramatic effect on my own health and for those people I work with. I stood in front of my graduating class and drummed on of the importance of spreading the knowledge we had just learned. This is when I knew I was MEANT to help others learn more about themselves and what feeds them, both body and soul.
And because I wanted to help people with more than just their wellness goals, I went on to received a Life Coach certification. As much as I want to help you learn new and healthy cooking techniques, I want to help you unleash your passions in life and then explore the avenues on how to make those elements a reality. I am a true example on how this work can have such a positive impact on life and I am on a mission to find others who could use a helping hand to become the person they were meant to be!
I have a passion for running, cooking, grand adventures and spending time with my two beautiful children, wonderful husband, amazing friends and family.
